Jesse C. Williams

Jesse’s practice emphasizes the defense of medical malpractice cases and general civil litigation that is headed towards trial.  Jesse also represents law enforcement officers in employment-related matters including critical incident responses, civil defense, inquest proceedings, and certification proceedings with the CJTC.

Jesse joined FAVROS Law in 2021 after fifteen years as a criminal prosecutor. As a prosecutor, Jesse principally focused on complex homicide investigations and gang violence. Jesse has spent his career in the courtroom prosecuting high profile cases, with 66 felony trials including 18 murder prosecutions. Jesse’s passion as a prosecutor was to help shepherd those who had lost loved ones to senseless violence and to bring to them a sense of peace and closure.

While Jesse’s focus was on trial work, he also co-led the office’s investigations and review of all law enforcement uses of deadly force with an eye towards greater transparency and community trust in these highly sensitive matters. Jesse also served for more than two years as a Special Assistant United States Attorney where he worked with the FBI and ATF to prosecute federal firearm crimes and identify and remediate regional violent crime hot spots. In addition, Jesse spent much of his career serving in senior leadership with the prosecutor’s guild, including as the labor representative in all disciplinary matters with the county.

Jesse is proudest of his work helping others. He regularly serves as a pro tem judge. He also has the privilege of teaching mock trial and an introduction to the law class at Oakland High School in Tacoma.  In addition, Jesse is a member of the WSBA’s Judicial Recommendation Committee.

Jesse’s greatest joys in life are his three young children, Riley, Maddox, and Charley Grace, and his wife Angelica Williams, who serves the community as a Pierce County Superior Court judge.
