On November 15, 2018, Deanna (White) Bui obtained a directed verdict for her client, a health care system. Plaintiff alleged that the health care system committed medical negligence, corporate negligence, and wrongful death as a result of the hospital’s implementation of and training on its electronic medical records system. Following three weeks of trial and the presentation of plaintiff’s case-in-chief, the trial court ordered that as a matter of law, plaintiff’s claims failed.
