Congratulations to Michele Atkins, Eddie Hynes and the FAVROS Law Litigation team who received a unanimous defense verdict in a medical malpractice case tried in Clallam County. Plaintiff claimed that an emergency medicine physician assistant failed to initiate the proper workup for cauda equina syndrome, a condition the patient was diagnosed with the following day at a different hospital. The jury agreed with the defense that the standard of care did not require more on the day in question and that the diagnosis of cauda equina syndrome did not become clinically apparent until the following day.
