Eric Norman and Gal Kamai secured a defense verdict on behalf of two hospitalist/internal medicine physicians in a three week jury trial in Pierce County Superior Court.  The case involved a claim that the providers negligently initiated Lovenox in a hospitalized trauma patient and then failed to timely and appropriately evaluate the patient for signs and symptoms of a delayed subdural hematoma that caused the patient’s death.  The jury found that both hospitalists/internal medicine providers complied with the standard of care.  Plaintiff asked the jury for $12.6 million.
