Caitlyn Spencer and Jennifer Smitrovich successfully tried an admitted liability case involving the transmission of incorrect test results to a patient. The defendants admitted negligence and that the negligence caused the patient to develop sepsis and require hospitalization, but denied that the negligence caused the patient’s death 11 months later. The jury agreed that the negligence did not cause the patient’s death.  Caitlyn and Jennifer were able to bring the jury’s verdict in under the plaintiff’s lowest pre-trial demand and substantially under the $10 million requested by Plaintiff’s counsel at trial.
